about:

Emmy Mulindwa is a painter and potter who lives in Western New York. She primarily paints abstract landscapes involving the topics of maternal influence, care structures and economies, as well as fragments finding their place; a sense of belonging within a larger tapestry.

Her work has been shown regionally at Cōppa Cō LLC, Houghton NY and Niagara Area Cultural Center, Niagara Falls, NY, as well as internationally in Gallery Uhyang in Hayang, South Korea. This year, she participated in her first formal residency at Kinhouse Residency, in Fort Wayne, IN.

Emmy has received SCR funding for her current project “Giving Birth in Allegany County: Painting the Firsthand accounts of women,” which will exhibit at Arts Council for Wycoming County in Perry, NY in November 2026.
